Funding is available for projects that encourage the networking of film schools and mobility of European film students, in particular through collaboration between European film schools, training institutes, and with the participation of partners from the professional sector.

This Call is aimed at projects proposing three years worth of activities starting in 2012, and continuing into 2014. This Call is the last one in MEDIA 2007 for Initial Training, which means this is the last chance to apply for this scheme until 2014.

The budget for this Call for Proposals is €2 million per year. The Commission reserves the right not to allocate all funds available.

Company eligibility

European training organisations, in particular higher education institutions and film schools, are eligible.

Project eligibility

The applicant consortiums must be made up of at least three higher education institutions / schools from at least three countries participating in the MEDIA programme. The consortiums will propose training initiatives for their admitted students in the areas of economic, financial and commercial management, new audiovisual technologies and script development.

This grant can cover up to 50% of the eligible costs of the project, and up to 75% if one of the members of the grouping is based in one of the 12 new accession countries.

Grants will be awarded on the basis of the following weighted criteria:

20 points - Quality of the content of the activity

20 points - Project management (expertise of tutors, methodology, cost effectiveness)

20 points - Consortium (coherence, partnerships with the AV industry)

20 points - European dimension

20 points - Impact
