Invitation to MEDIA Info Day at the Berlinale

This year's Berlin International Film Festival will see another edition of the MEDIA Programme's annual MEDIA Information Day - a chance for Berlinale delegates to hear the latest on the furture of the MEDIA Programme post-2013 and on the performance to date of the MEDIA Production Guarantee Fund.

The MEDIA Information Day will be held on Monday 13 February 2012 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Berlin, Germany.

The day, which will run from 10am to 4:45pm, will have the following agenda:

10:00-10:30: Welcome and coffee

10:30-11:30: Creative Europe
Presentation of the main features of the European Commission’s Creative Europe proposal, given by Constantin Daskalakis, Head of the MEDIA Unit and Aviva Silver, Head of the MEDIA and Media Literacy Unit

11:30-12:30: The MEDIA Production Guarantee Fund and the European Cultural and Creative Sectors Guarantee Facility
Presentation of the MPGF and the newly-proposed financial guarantee facility by MEDIA’s Isabella Tessaro and Gunnar Magnusson

12:30-14:30: Lunch

14:30-15:45: MEDIA Training

Presentation on the final MEDIA 2007 Call for two-year framework partnership agreements for training activities in 2012 and 2013, given by MEDIA’s Arnaud Pasquali and Piedad Rivas

Presentation of three new 2012 MEDIA-funded training courses:
- AdaptLab, Savina Nerotti, TorinoFilmLab Director
- The European TV Drama Series Lab, Nadja Radovejic, Erich Pommer Institut
- DOK.Incubator, Andrea Prenghyová, DOK.Incubator-CIANT and Claas Danielsen, DOK Leipzig

15:45-16:45: MEDIA Distribution

Key figures presentation by John Dick, MEDIA
Presentation on the preparatory action on the circulation of European audiovisual works in the digital era, given by Emmanuel Joly, MEDIA
