European and Latin American Producers Workshop - call for submissions

In 2011 EAVE will run the third edition of Puentes, a training course for Latin American and European producers in co-operation with Buenos Aires Lab(BAL) and the Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón, and supported by MEDIA Mundus.

Puentes consists of two workshops The first workshop will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 7 to 11 April 2011 within the framework of the Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente(BAFICI) and the second workshop will be held in Gijon, Spain during the Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón (exact dates tbc).

The course will enable feature film producers from both continents to work together in two four-day workshops and will offer the ten selected participants:

Access to a network of producers, markets, festivals and decision makers from both continents
Networking between participants to create medium and long term co-financing and co-production relationships
Opportunity to learn about the audiovisual market and operating conditions, legal frameworks, financing, sales, distribution and exhibition practices in both continents
Top-level professional and project development.

The target group for this course is experienced feature film producers wishing to work at international level and create long-term creative and business relationships between Europe and Latin America. Interested producers should apply with a feature film project in development stage. European producers applying must be able to demonstrate a clear involvement with Latin America and vice versa. Participation is free of charge.

The call for submissions is currently open and will close on 31 January 2011.
