Producers: Interested in working with Latin America?

eavelogo

Applications are now being received for EAVE's PUENTES-AUSTRALAB, a new training course designed to bring together Latin American and European producers with potential financiers, distributors and sales agents, and to reinforce artistic and industrial co-operation between Europe and Latin America.

PUENTES-AUSTRALAB combines producer training, project development, co-production meetings and distribution opportunities and offers a direct connection between the different agents of the film production value chain. The course also aims to encourage the distribution and circulation of films by bringing together key players including talent, producers, financiers, sales agents, distributors and exhibitors. The course will bring together five European and five Latin American producers with feature projects in development for a workshop in Montevideo, Uruguay (organised by Mutante Cine, from 23 to 30 April 2012) and a workshop in Valdivia, Chile (organised by Valdivia Film Festival in October 2012). After the second session, targeted co-production meetings in Valdivia will be organised.

The ten selected participants will be able to:

  • Work on the comprehensive development of their projects
  • Discover co-operation and co-production opportunities
  • Network with other participants and their companies to create medium and long term co-financing and co-production relationships
  • Gain access to a network of producers, financiers, markets, festivals, distributors and sales agents on both continents.

Experienced feature film producers wishing to work on an international scale and to create long-term creative and business relationships between Europe and Latin America are asked to apply with a feature film project in development. European producers applying must be able to demonstrate a clear involvement with Latin America and vice versa. In exceptional cases, applications from producers without project will be considered.

For further information email EAVE or visit the EAVE website.

The deadline to apply is 5 March 2012.
