Stockholm International Film Festival Junior aims to give young audiences from 6-16 years old an opportunity to see films which are not available through mainstream distribution, and to inspire youngsters to use film to express themselves.

The 'Junior exchange Europe' is a section of shorts made by film students from other European countires and the competitive programme includes features, short films, animation and documentary.

An exiting part of the programme is the 1 Minute Film competition where swedish students are encouraged to submit films with the prize being to make a film with a professional film team.

The programme is completed with a series of film workshops for youngsters as well as meetings and seminars for professionals.
