This year's MEDIA Information Day in Cannes will take place on Friday 15 May 2009 at The Hotel 1835 White Palm (formerly Hotel Sofitel), 2 Boulevard Jean Hibert.

The MEDIA Information Day is open to all interested professionals (no registration necessary) and includes sessions on current MEDIA Programme activities and funding opportunities.  This year's agenda will include presentations from MEDIA-supported VOD projects, as well as a session on MEDIA International and MEDIA Mundus.

Focus on case studies of successful applications. During this session a panel of producers will highlight: how to turn a rejection to a selection, how and when to move from a Single Project to Slate Funding, tips on how to get selected.

Focus on new WEB 2.0 distribution tools in VOD & their potential for theatrical distribution. Will also include a MEDIA Distribution update, and details on modifications and simplifications for 2009.

This session will provide information on MEDIA International which focuses on reinforcing co-operation between European and third-country professionals. Organisers of current MEDIA International projects will discuss their first experiences.
