Applications open for Greenhouse For International Documentary Filmmakers

Since it was set up in 2006, the Greenhouse consortium has achieved significant success and has become a leader in international documentary filmmaking. Greenhouse has managed to create a multicultural dialogue between filmmakers from different regions and countries and has become a "development agency" for documentary filmmakers and a place where networking among regional and European professionals results in market possibilities for documentary projects. Greenhouse aims to continue supporting cultural exchanges and encourage dialogue between the people of Europe and the Mediterranean region.
Filmmakers from the ten MEDA countries and Europe are invited to submit a documentary film proposal on the themes of racism and human rights. The selected filmmakers will be invited to participate in three seminars during which they will work on the development of the script until a comprehensive production file is completed including a trailer. The final proposals and trailers will be presented in a pitching forum to leading industry figures.
Deadline to apply is 2 February 2010.
For further information please contact Sigal Yehuda or visit Greenhouse.
