Power to the Pixel's brand new residential course, The Pixel Lab, is to be held in Cardiff from 4-10 July 2010.

The Pixel Lab, the first Cross-media film workshop, will take place in the St. David's Hotel and Spa and is open for applications from media professionals with a strong track record, and those with a particular focus on the creation, finance and distribution of cross-media properties. The application deadline is 16 April 2010.

The intensive week-long workshop will be led by international cross-media experts and aims to enable European film producers and other media professionals to tap into the business knowledge-base of film, online, broadcast, gaming and mobile industries through a series of project-led case studies, one-to-one meetings, plenary sessions and group work, equipping participants with the know-how to develop, package, market and distribute cross-media stories. Producers with projects will also benefit from distance learning following the workshop and leading up to the Power to the Pixel's Cross media Forum which takes place in London in October, where Pixel Lab participants can utilise their newly acquired skills through presenting their projects to a number of potential international partners.
