This three-day workshop, entitled 'My Money, My Film', focuses on the new sources of funding for documentary filmmaking. For many years, broadcasters have been the main financial resource for independent documentary film, but things are now changing.
The course will explore the true costs of investment from film funds, social institutions, NGOs and corporations; focusing on the economical and promotional returns expected from such funding. It will also ask whether the investment policies of national film institutes have changed, and advise on how to approach funding bodies.
