This international training programme, organised by the Erich Pommer Institut (EPI), is aimed at Canadian and European film and television producers and focuses on the legal and financial knowledge essential for co-production. The course is supported by MEDIA International.

The course is designed as a two-module training programme, taking place in June 2010, in Berlin, Germany, and in September 2010 in Halifax, Canada. EPI is delivering this initiative along with their Canadian partner, the Atlantic Film Festival Association and its co-production market, Strategic Partners. Strategic Partners is focuses on film and television projects from across Canada and around the world.

In total, 15 producers from Europe and 15 producers from Canada will be accepted onto the course, which offers participants the opportunity to:

• Develop skills in international co-production
• Learn from key professionals from both sides of the Atlantic
• Receive up-to-date information on Canadian and European film funds and tax incentives
• Discover new international partners and projects
• Discuss their projects in one-to-one meetings with key industry players.
