MEDICI - The Film Funding Journey

This is a two-year training cycle, exclusively created for European public funders, both national and regional. It is made up of five workshops that last 48 hours each, two in 2012 and three in 2013. Each workshop deals with a different aspect of the film financing process from the perspective of the film funder. There will be two workshops in 2012:

Workshop 1 - LONG BEFORE 1 - Strategies and Initiatives for Filmmakers - deals with all long-term issues related to content (which filmmakers and which films)
Workshop 2 - LONG BEFORE 2 - Strategies and Initiatives for the Producers - deals with all long-term issues related to financial frameworks, guidelines amd production policies

Workshop 1: 25-27 April 2012 in Stockholm, Sweden, application deadline: 24 Febuary 2012

Workshop 2: 7-9 November 2012, Vienna, Austria, application deadline 14 September 2012

Fees: €1,000 per workshop including accommodation and meals. Scholarships available.
